Shandong 16Mn seamless steel pipe use and classification method: Shandong 16Mn seamless steel pipe use: special steel used for bridges is "16Mnq," special steel for automobile girders is "16MnL," and steel for pressure vessels is "16MnR." This steel type improves the mechanical properties of steel by adjusting the amount of carbon (C). According to the carbon content, these steels can be further divided into: low-carbon steels (carbon content is generally less than 0.25%, such as 10, 20 steel), medium-carbon steel (carbon content is generally between 0.25 and 0.60%, such as 35, 45 steel), and high-carbon steel (carbon content generally greater than 0.60%). Shandong 16Mn seamless steel pipe is a material; in the past, a style of seamless steel pipe. The current name is Q345B seamless steel tube, with similar materials like Q345C, Q345D, and Q345E. The quality grade symbol ABCDE indicates the impact test is not required. The impact test temperature is +20°C, 0°C, -20°C, -40°C. The Silicon Steel Alloys used can improve performance under varying conditions.

ABCD indicates that the quality level of Q235 is divided into four levels (A, B, C, D). The quality requirements from A to D are as follows: A—provides S, P, C, Mn, Si chemical composition and fu, fy, δ5 (δ10). According to the buyer’s needs, a 180° cold bending test can be provided, but no impact energy requirements are included. B—provides S, P, C, Mn, Si chemical composition and fu, fy, δ5 (δ10), cold bend 180° test. C—provides impact energy at 0°C Ak ≥ 27J. D—provides impact work Ak ≥ 27J at -20°C. E—provides impact work Ak ≥ 27J at -40°C, which can be useful when working with materials such as Cold Rolled Oriented Electrical Steel.
