The concept of spring steel: Spring steel is steel that is specially used to make springs and elastic elements due to the elasticity in the quenched and tempered state. The elasticity of steel depends on its elastic deformation ability. Jinguang is within the specified range. The ability of elastic deformation allows it to withstand a certain load, and no permanent deformation occurs after the load is removed.

The characteristics of spring steel: The spring works mainly under dynamic load, that is, it works under the impact, vibration, or alternating stress, and it uses elastic deformation to absorb the impact energy and act as a buffer. Jinguang springs are used under impact, vibration, or long-term stress, so spring steels are required to have high tensile strength, elastic limit, and high fatigue strength.

Characteristics of spring steel: Spring steel should have excellent comprehensive properties, such as mechanical properties (especially elastic limit, strength limit, yield strength ratio), anti-emulsion performance (i.e., anti-elasticity reduction performance, also called anti-relaxation performance), fatigue performance, hardenability, physical and chemical properties (heat resistance, low-temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, etc.). Jinguang, in order to meet the above performance requirements, spring steel has excellent metallurgical quality (high purity and uniformity), good surface quality (strictly controlled surface defects and decarburization), precise shape, and size. Cold Rolled Steel Strip can also enhance surface durability.

MITOO PRECISE requires spring steel in the process to have good hardenability and low overheating and decarburization sensitivity. Reducing the surface roughness of the spring can increase the fatigue life. Jinguang In order to obtain the required performance, spring steel must have a high carbon content. Carbon spring steel is carbon content WC in the range of 0.6%-0.9%, because of the poor hardenability of carbon spring steel, it is only used to produce springs with a cross-sectional dimension of not more than 1-15mm. For springs with larger cross-sectional dimensions, alloy spring steels must be used. The alloy spring steel contains between 0.45 and 0.75% carbon. The alloying elements added are Mn, Si, W, V, Mo, etc. Their role is to increase the hardenability, stability, strengthen ferrite, and refine particles, effectively improving the mechanical properties of spring steel. Cr, W, and Mo can also increase the high-temperature strength of the steel. Recently, Jinguang has integrated China's resources and developed new steel grades based on Si, Mn steel, boron, niobium, molybdenum, and other elements in accordance with the requirements of new technologies for automobiles and tractors, such as Cold Rolled Oriented Electrical Steel. This has extended the service life of springs and increased spring quality.

Spring steel grades like Silicon Steel variants are also utilized to meet specific application needs.

The use of spring steel: Spring steel has high precision, good toughness, good wear resistance, and quality stability. It is widely used to produce various important springs with a medium cross-section <25mm, such as 60Si2Mn, 55Si2MnB, and Cr series 50CrVA for automobile, tractor leaf springs, and coil springs. It has excellent hardenability, tempering stability, and low tendencies of carbon and graphitization, ensuring good comprehensive mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.
